This plant grows very well on soils that it prefers, that is, soils rich in organic substance, loose and deep.This plant suffers a lot from stagnation of humidity so do not overdo it with watering and always wait for the soil to dry between two irrigations. The ideal climate for black currants is that of the central-northern regions with cool temperatures. Avoid areas that are too sunny and areas that are too hot.
