Medium flower, full, cup-shaped, 10 cm in diameter, with almost 40 rippled, amber-coloured and fragrant petals. Repeat-flowering, with clustered flowers, it grows compact, bushy, up to 75 cm in height and 60 in width. Very resistant to diseases, it adapts well to warm climates and has an abundant dark green foliage; it can be grown in pots and is suitable for cutting. Selected by Harkness before 1981 over the course of 20 years, it has received many awards including: RNRS certificate of merit from the Royal National Rose Society in 1983; RHS rose of the year in 1984; AARS in 1988; Gold Rose in Orléans in 1989 and at The Hague Rose Trials in 1991; RNRS James Mason Medal in 1993 and finally in 2001 Platinum Rose again at the Hague Rose Trials.
