Meilland names this rose after Nicolas Hulot, a famous French environmental activist. This is a rose with a majestic poise and a turbinated corolla consisting of about 40 petals that are bright-yellow coloured on one side and light-yellow on the other. Small bunches (2 to 5) of large blooms (13 cm in diameter) are borne by the branches, exhaling a strong scent of roses and apricot fruits. The plant is repeat-flowering and grows healthy and vigorous to a height of 90-100 cm, suitable for any kind of use.
