Bienenweide® Apricot

Semi-double rosette flower, 4 cm in diameter, composed of 4-8 apricot petals with a delicately scented pinkish yellow center. The first flowering is abundant. It grows up to 60cm in height and is very disease resistant. The flowers are very appreciated by bees thanks to their abundant supply of easily accessible pollen. Introduced in 2013 by Rosen-Tantau, it won the Gold medal at the Kortrijk competition in 2013; the First Prize in Baden-Baden in 2015 and was awarded the Honorary Award of the German Ministry of Environment, Agriculture, Nature and Consumer Protection NRW for "particularly bee-friendly innovation in the rose range" in 2019. It produces rose hips. A light pruning is recommended after the first flowering to ensure an abundant second flowering.
