Hot Chocolate® - Hot Cocoa
This rose boasts an incredible and unique color, with wavy reddish-brown petals—chestnut brown in cooler climates and a red-peach hue in warmer regions. It has no rivals among brown roses.
The flowers are double, cup-shaped, with a diameter of 9-10 cm and composed of 25-30 petals. They bloom in small clusters, are fragrant, and develop a smoky chocolate shade that turns violet at the end of flowering.
A reblooming variety, it grows into a rounded, bushy shrub reaching 110 cm in height and 135 cm in width, with very thorny branches. Exceptionally disease-resistant and heat-tolerant, it has bright green foliage.
Bred by Weeks Roses in 2001, it was introduced to the U.S. market in 2003 under the name Hot Cocoa™, the same year it received the prestigious AARS (All-American Rose Selection) award.
