Selected by McGredy in 1970, this Floribunda rose is red and with double, cupped blooms that are 7 cm in diameter and filled with 35-40 moderately scented pentals. The Trumpeter is a highly reblooming variety. Grows vigorous, compact and well branched to a height of 90 cm and spreads up to 60 cm; highly disease-resistant and both heat and rain-tolerant. The foliage is medium glossy green. Suitable to be grown in borders or in a large container. It has achieved the RHS Award of Garden Merit; highly recommended by David Austin.
