The Rosa Pendulina rose, also known as Rose of the Alps, is a wild variety that produces a simple bloom with a diameter of 3 cm and 5 deep-pink, purple petals with highly visible yellow stamens. Nearly thornless, it grows to a height of 350 cm and a width of 150 cm; in Autumn it produces rose hips. A strong rose that can easily thrive in colder climates.
