Minerva ® - Visancar
This old-fashioned, double, cup-shaped bloom measures 8 cm in diameter and consists of approximately 40 deep lilac/purple petals. Once fully open, it reveals bright yellow stamens that beautifully complement the overall effect. Minerva® has a sweet fragrance characteristic of roses in this color range. The flowers bloom in clusters, are long-lasting, and become even more intense in color as they age.
It grows upright, reaching 80 cm in height, with matte green foliage. A reblooming variety, it was bred by Martin Visser in 2004 and is named after the Belgian automobile company Minerva, which introduced the four-wheel braking system in 1926. Minerva produced cars in Belgium from 1899 to 1939.
This rose won the Fragrance Award at the International Rose Competition of Saverne in 2008.
