Scabrosa - rugosa Superba - rugosa “Rubra Scabrosa”

The simple, large, flat flower with a 12 cm diameter consists of 5 fuchsia petals and prominent yellow stamens. It is intensely fragrant and reblooms. Its distinctive feature is the large, fleshy, spherical hips, measuring 2.5 cm in diameter, which turn into a beautiful tomato-red color at maturity.

This rose is healthy and highly resistant to diseases, growing in a well-branched, upright, and tidy manner, reaching heights of up to 200 cm and widths of 150 cm. The glossy green foliage adds to its appeal.

Introduced by Harkenss in 1950, it is an ideal rose for background borders, hedges, and individual planting. It tolerates both partial shade and heat. Additionally, the Swedish Rose Society recommends this variety for cultivation in the northern regions of Sweden.
