Munstead Wood

A new variety with a dark crimson pink colour and a strong Old Rose fragrance, blooms with a petal count of 70-75, diameter of 9-10 cm, globular, curled backwards, fascinating and displayed in bunches. A vigorous and highly disease-resistant variety, grows as a compact bush to a height of 100 cm with medium leaves that have a gree-bronze-reddish colour. It has achieved several awards: Gold Medal in Japan 2014 for its fragrance; the 2014 Cornelis Vanderbilt Cecil Award for the most fragrant rose at the Biltmore International Rose Trials in North Carolina; in France it has been nominated Flower of the Year by the "Rustica" magazine and has been awarded by the Royal Horticultural Society with the Garden of Merit Award.
