Small flowers, in clusters, double, globular, 8 cm in diameter, with lilac-pink petals edged with carmine which pale when aging. Sweet, fruity aroma and with glossy green foliage; grows as a well branched, arched bush, reaching 150 cm in height and 130 cm in width. Healthy and disease resistant it is a rose presented in 2018 that David Austin wanted to dedicate to the eponymous novel by George Elliot published for the first time in 1860.
