Selcted by Bennet in 1885, this hybrid has rose blooms with a colour that blends to lilac-pale silver. The flowers are large, cupped, globulare and saw-toothed around the edges; a diameter of 10 cm and a petal count of more than 41. Mrs. John Laing is a repeat-flowering with a strong Tea scent that grows upright but with slightly arching branches that have very few thorns and reaches a height of 170 cm and a width of 120 cm. Good disease-resistance, it is suitable for cutting.
