The Souvenir du Dr. Jamain rose has been selected by Lacharme in 1865 and it's a marvelous variety for the dark red-crimson colour of its double, cupped, medium-sized blooms that exhale an intense fragrance. Repeat-flowering, it grows to a height of 300 cm and a width of 100 cm. Its branches are nearly thornless. It thrives best in semi-shaded areas, where its bloomings reach their peak.
