Charles Austin – Charming Apricot AUSfather
Large, double, cupped flower, 8-10 cm in diameter, borne in groups of 3-5 per branch, it is made up of more than 70 petals with colors of various shades of apricot which gradually fade as they blossom.
The fragrance is strong, fresh and fruity; it is re-flowering even if sometimes it needs to be stimulated by pruning and feeding after the first flowering.
It's a hardy rose that grows up to 150 cm in height and 120 in width.
One of the first varieties selected by David Austin, it was once a highly regarded variety; it was presented in 1973.
