Delicate double cupped flower, 7 cm in diameter, composed of 41 light pink petals; it exudes a delicate old rose scent. The flowers develop in clusters on thin dark stems and gradually open to reveal yellow stamens. It's a vigorous plant that can be grown both as an upright shrub and as a small climber; it can reach 360cm in height and 160cm in width; the leaves arr small and dark green; it lends itself to cultivation in pots.
She was renamed Mary Delany to remove the name's association with the Sackler family. This is the owner of Purdue Pharma, a pharmaceutical company that produces Oxycontin, an opioid; 50 states in the US have sued them for their role in the opioid crisis.
