Dannahue ® AUSa6b15
The flowers are medium-sized and cup-shaped, about 5 cm in diameter, borne in clusters and composed of approximately 33 fragrant apricot-yellow petals. The plant has a compact, well-bushed, upright growth habit, reaching around 110 cm in height and 125 cm in width.
It is repeat-flowering and highly disease-resistant, with matte foliage. Well suited to container cultivation and partially shaded locations.
Introduced in 2023 by David Austin Roses, it was dedicated to Dunnahue Barrington Clarke (Danny). In 2022, David Austin was deeply inspired by the garden “Hands Off the Mangroves” at the Royal Horticultural Society Chelsea Flower Show. Designed by the “Black Gardener” Dunnahue Barrington Clarke together with Taishan Hayden-Smith, founder of Grow2Know, the garden powerfully addressed two major issues: social injustice and global deforestation. Impressed by Danny’s commitment to making gardening more accessible and inclusive, David Austin chose to name this rose in his honor.
