Penelope Lively ® AUSb18a15
The flowers are large, deeply cupped, and very full, about 9 cm in diameter, composed of around 100 petals that open pink and gradually mature to a lavender tone. The fragrance is moderate, with an old-rose character. It blooms in clusters of 3–5 flowers continuously throughout the season.
The plant grows compact and gracefully arching, well branched, reaching approximately 100 cm in height and 120 cm in width. Healthy and vigorous, it features semi-glossy foliage, is well suited for cutting, and tolerates partial shade.
Introduced by David Austin Roses in 2023, it is dedicated to Penelope Lively (born 17 March 1933 in Cairo), a British writer with a passion for gardening.
