The bloom is double, large, flat, quartered and filled with 17-25 light pink coloured petals with blends of apricot. In Spring the plant displays a cloud of strongly scented flowers that exhale a strong apple fragrance. Grows vigorous to a height of 750 cm and a width of 250-300 cm; it is shade-tolerant; its leaves are large, glossy, dark green. Discovered by Barbier Frères in 1906, it has been awarded by the Royal Horticultural Society with the Award of Garden Merit.
